RIDER1991 is an embodied dream about a free movement. It is inspired by the atmosphere and aesthetics of the Café Racer motorbike culture originated in the early 60s in London. As well as by one of the designers’ friends impressions from his motorcycle road trip across Ukraine. So RIDER1991 is the watch for real riders’ free motion through time.
The main emphasis of the watch design is a crown that is embedded into the case. This solution helps to move the hand free and embodies the RIDER1991 main idea about Free Movement. The crown resembles a diamond-shaped notches on the motorcycl gas handle. The dial design repeats minimally the speedometer in some detail. Because the analogues forms of CaféRacer motorcycles have been taken as the base of the RIDER1991 watch design.
